RESOLUTION NO. 222-69
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS , Thomas H. McNaughton has served this City
of South Bend , Indiana , faithfully and well in his capacity
as a police officer and as Chief of the South Bend
Police Department; and
WHEREAS , Thomas H. McNaughton is now retired after
20 years of most able and competent service to this
community; and
WHEREAS , this community wishes to recognize Thomas
H. McNaughton and to commend him for the innumerable
projects which he has undertaken on behalf of this
community in the past 20 years and to congratulate him
on an outstanding record as a police officer and as
Chief of Police .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Common Council
of the City of South Bend does hereby recognize Thomas
H. McNaughton, commends him for his outstanding record
of service to this community, and regretfully notes ,
but understands , his decision to retire from the South
Bend Police Department on which he has so capably served
for the past 20 years .
