RESOLUTION NO. 236-70
A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH BEND, AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF A
COMPREHENSIVE CITY DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of South Bend has prepared a comprehensive
city demonstration program; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend finds
that the program is necessary and desirable in order to improve the
living conditions of people living in the model neighborhood; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend desires
that the comprehensive city demonstration program be submitted to the
Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (herein called the Secretary)
for funding under Title I of the Demonstration Cities and Metropolitan
Development Act of 1966.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Common Council of the
City of South Bend, that:
Section 1. The Mayor,Lloyd M. Allen, of the City of South
Bend, Indiana, or his lawful successor is hereby authorized to submit
to the Secretary the comprehensive city demonstration program and such
supporting and collateral material as shall be necessary.
Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately.
