Presented by me to the Mayor of the City of South Bend, Indiana January 12 19 71 City Clerk Approved and signed by me 19 f � i a or RESOLUTION NO. 259-71 RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE REPRESENTATIVE AUTHORIZED TO APPLY WITH THE APPROPRIATE AGENCY FOR A GRANT UNDER THE TERMS OF PUBLIC LAW 660. WHEREAS, the City of South Bend is considering the construction of certain sewage works improvements; and, WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Law 660 Federal funds are available in the form of an outright grant for certain stream pollution abatement projects ; and, WHEREAS, it is believed that the major portion of the sewage works improvements proposed by the City of South Bend, Indiana, qualify for a Federal grant; and, WHEREAS, the Federal Water Quality Administration requires that the authorized representative of the City of South Bend, Indiana' s governing body be designated by both name and title, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: That Lloyd M. Allen, Mayor of the City of South Bend, Indiana, be authorized to sign applications and such other documents as may be necessary, including the offer and acceptance form.
