Loth accounts are in the same classification in the General park Dund. The 1972 park budget is short in account number 56, current Charges, Gross Income Tax because tax must be paid on income from the sJ_e of land (25,000.00) on Ireland Road and X5,860.00 for land sold at Potawatomi Park. Also, an error was made in the computing of the second quarter payment in 1971. Only one months income was paid on instead of three months. The adjusted payment, which is made in March of 1972, had to pick up the income earned in the two months of 1971. The payment came out of the 1972 budget thus shorting the 1972 tax account. You will note that we had a balance at the end of 1971 of $2,015.90 in our tax account because of the failure to pay taxes on $82,916.52 income for April and May of 1971. At the time the 1972 budget was prepared, we had no idea that these properties would be sold. Current balance in the tax account is $561.16. There is a balance in account number 52, Current Charges ($3,711.51) because of the fine cooperation among departments of City Government. The Park Department used equipment from the Street Department and the School Corporation thus relieving the need to rent equipment.
