RESOLUTION NO. 345-72 A RESOLUTION REDUCING VARIOUS ACCOUNTS IN THE DEC , 1973 MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUND BUDGET OF THE CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA BY $223,298.00. WHEREAS, a request has been filed by the Mayor of the City of South Bend, Saint Joseph County, Indiana that it be declared the intent of the highest executive officer to use Federal Revenue Sharing Funds in the calendar year 1973 for the funds and purposes and in the amounts set out below: Motor Vehicle Highway Fund Budget Current Revised Amount Classification 1973 Budget 1973 Budget Reduced SERVICES PERSONAL $809,379.00 $670,200.63 $139,178.37 SERVICES CONTRACTUAL 2,150.00 1,780.63 369.37 SUPPLIES 13,375.00 11,077.18 2,297.82 MATERIALS 275,662.00 228,303.27 47,358.73 CURRENT CHARGES 3,200.00 2,650.24 549.76 CURRENT OBLIGATIONS 137,500.00 113,877.50 23,622.50 PROPERTIES 57,750.00 47,828.55 9,921.45 TOTAL $1,299,016.00 $1,075,718.00 $223,298.00 AND, WHEREAS, approval must be given by the appropriating body of each municipal corporation for the use of such funds for the purposes specified; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the appropriating body reduce the 1973 budget as set out above and that a copy of this resolution be furnished the State Board of Tax Commissioners and that board be authorized and directed to apply the amounts set out above to the 1973 budget of this governmental unit and accordingly reduce the tax levies of such funds for the year 1972 payable in 1973. Be it further resolved that the proper officials will appropriate from the Trust Fund, after January 1, 1973, at least a sufficient amount to offset the above reductions.
