RESOLUTION NO. -7-57/--7 3
A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, CONGRATULATING
DR. CHARLES BIONDO, JOHN LAI AND GREGORY
STRYCHALSKI .
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend
is desirous of recognizing and commending heroic deeds on the
part of citizens of the City of South Bend, and
WHEREAS , Dr. Charles Biondo, John Lai and Gregory
Strychalski exhibited exemplary courage and charity for their
fellow man during rescue operations at Pinhook Park Lagoon on
February 4, 1973, and
WHEREAS, the Common Council believes that special
praise should be given to Dr. Charles Biondo, John Lai and Gregory
Strychalski for their individual acts of charity, valor and self-
lessness at Pinhook Park Lagoon on February 4, 1973 .
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of
the City of South Bend, as follows :
Section 1 . That the Common Council, on behalf of the
people of the City of South Bend, extends its congratulations and
appreciation to Dr . Charles Biondo, John Lai and Gregory Strychalski
for their willingness to extend a helping hand to their fellow man
with selfless unconcern for the danger and risk to their own wel-
fare during rescue operations at Pinhook Park Lagoon on February 4,
1973 .
Section 2 . This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and a ter its adoption by the Common Council of the
City of South Bend and approval by the Mayor.
