RESOLUTION NO. 3& a- -23
RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
BEND, INDIANA, AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AMENDATORY
APPLICATION FOR THE MAKING OF ADDITIONAL SECTION 115
REHABILITATION GRANT PAYMENTS FOR CODE ENFORCEMENT PROJECT
INDIANA E-5.
WHEREAS, the City of South Bend has entered into a contract dated
February 14, 1972 with the Department of Housing and Urban Development of the
Federal Government for the financing and carrying out of a Code Enforcement
Project in the Model Neighborhood, said project being designated as "Project
Indiana E-5" .
WHEREAS, for the satisfactory completion of said project it has been
found that additional Section 115 Rehabilitation Grant payments are needed for
financing of the necessary rehabilitation in the area; and
WHEREAS, it has been indicated to the City by the Department of Housing
and Urban Development that additional Section 115 Rehabilitation Grant monies
are available and that an Amendatory Application should be submitted requesting
said grant payments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City of
South Bend, Indiana that it hereby approves and directs that the Department of
Redevelopment submit an Amendatory Application to the Department of Housing and
Urban Development for Code Enforcement Project Indiana E-5.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Executive Director of the Department of
Redevelopment is hereby authorized and directed to prepare said Amendatory Application
and submit any and all documents to the Department of Housing and Urban Development,
and be the corresponding agent for the City to the Department of Housing and Urban
Development, and further that the Mayor of the City of South Bend is hereby authorized
and directed to execute any and all documents and the Amendatory contract resulting
herefrom.
