Presented by me to the Mayor of the City of South Bend, Indiana AUGUST 29, Iq 73 City Clerk Approved and signed by me Mayor a•� Y r RESOLUTION NO. 382-73 A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE SENSE OF THE COUNCIL REGARDING PUBLIC HOUSING WEST OF MICHIGAN STREET. WHEREAS, the South Bend Common Council has heretofore expressed its opposition to the erection of any more public housing units in the part of the city West of Michigan Street until more units are erected East of Michigan, and WHEREAS, the city' s Workable Program called for the orderly replenishing of the city' s housing supply through the promo- tion and development of both public and private housing, and WHEREAS, the Council now views the construction of public housing on Council approved scattered sites within the city West of Michigan as being consistant with and an integral part of its program on balancing public housing in the various areas of the city. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That the Council will interpose no objection to the construction of additional public housing units in the part of the city West of Michigan on scattered sites that are to be approved by the Common Council.
