A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, CREDITING ELIZABETH SWEITZER
WITH 9 YEARS AND 3 MONTHS OF PUBLIC SERVICE WITH
THE SOUTH BEND WATER WORKS.
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend
recognizes that Elizabeth Sweitzer has served continuously from
April 1, 19+2 to December 31, 1951 in the South Bend Water Works.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the South Bend
Common Council that Elizabeth Sweitzer is hereby credited with
nine years and three months of service by the City of South Bend,
Indiana for pension purposes.

RE: Mrs . Elizabeth Sweitzer
Please be advised that Mrs . Elizabeth Sweitzer, 222 East
Bartlett Street, South Bend, Indiana, worked for the
Water Works from January, 1943, to January, 1952 . She is
presently on. sick leave from the County Auditor' s Office.
Her starting date with the Auditor' s Office was January,
1952 .
It is the hope of the Mayor and I that the City Council
by Resolution will assume the nine years. . . . .from 1943 to
1952 . This would be the same as was the case with Ann Marger.
This was confirmed by Mr . Murphy from the Public Employees
Retirement Fund on March 11, 1974.

by persons who have been employed with her that it
is a true statement.

Council passes the Resolution on the above.
