A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH BEND GUARANTEEING THE TIMELY COMPLETION OF
THE WHITE WATER WAY CONSTRUCTION
WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, pursuant to the development of
certain riverfront properties as outlined in the
St. Joseph River Corridor Study, has developed plans
and specifications for the construction of White Water
Way, and
WHEREAS, the City of South Bend has made application to the
Economic Development Administration of the U.S.
Department of Commerce for project funding under
Title X, Job Opportunities Program Assistance,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
South Bend, as follows:

A resolution is being submitted committing the City of South Bend to the
timely completion of the White Water Way construction and committing the
City to the payment of all debts incurred.
These committments, while being routine in nature, have been specifically
requested by the Economic Development Authority of the Department of
Commerce, as a condition of their Title X Grants. The Title X Grant
under consideration for this project will provide 80% funding of the
White Water Construction costs, presently estimated at $290,000.
