SUBJECT: Permit Reserved Handicap Parking Space Relocation
DATE: March 6th, 2017
On December 22nd 2016, the Board of Public Works awarded a contract to Rieth-Riley
Construction Co., Inc. to construct a van -accessible on -street parking space on the north side of
W Jefferson Blvd just east of Lafayette Blvd.
To create sufficient space for the van -accessible parking spot, two (2) on -street spaces need to
be relocated that are currently reserved for residents who have paid for a Reserved Handicap
Parking Permit. The residents effected are Permit Holders #3 and #4.
The Division of Engineering recommends that the two permit reserved spaces remain on the north
side of Jefferson and move 34' east. This action would eliminate two (2) 1 hour public on -street
parking spaces.
