Presented by me to the Mayor of the City of South Bend, Indiana Y 12 19 77 Approved and signed by me 19 7 F1 City Clerk Mayor RESOLUTION NO. 65-- 2 7 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, AUTHORIZING INSPECTORS OF THE CITY'S BUREAU OF HOUSING TO RECEIVE ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION PURSUANT TO A CON- TRACT BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE INSTITUTE FOR URBAN STUDIES AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 5830 -75, being section 2- 118(a) -(d) of the Municipal Code of the City of South Bend, provides that no additional com- pensation shall be paid by the City to any City employee without approval of the Common Council; and, WHEREAS, The City of South Bend, through its Community Development Program, proposes to enter into a contract with the Institute for Urban Studies at the University of Notre Dame for a survey of the current con- ditions of homes which have been rehabilitated through the City's several programs of housing rehabilitation; and, WHEREAS, The Institute for Urban Studies proposes to employ, with the funds received from the City through its Community Development Program, qualified inspectors from the City's Bureau of Housing to inspect the condition of rehabilitated homes at the rate of ten dollars ($10.00) per home, on their personal time at their own volition: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana; SECTION I. That the inspectors employed in the Bureau of Housing who qualify to work for the Institute for Urban Studies in its contract with the City may receive the additional compensation of ten dollars ($10.00) for each home inspected pursuant to the contract proposed between the City and the Institute for Urban Studies at the University of Notre Dame.
