The application has been put together jointly by Park Department and Community Development staffs. The grant will be used to survey all the existing street trees. Data will be collected on species and tree conditions. Such an inventory has never been taken. We feel this information will be extremely useful for a workable tree planting program. Also included is a copy of the proposed budget as well as further explaination of the State's Urban Forestry Program. The grant is for 50 percent of the costs. Should you have questions concerning this request, please advise us. We respectfully request favorable consideration of this resolution. jmr Attachments CC: Mayor Peter J.
