HomeMy WebLinkAbout10/16/61 Board of Public Works MinutesOctober 16p 1961 A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, October 16, 1961 at 10:00 A.M. DST. All members were present. Minutes of the last regular meeting and a special meeting were read and approved. Vouchers were approved and ordered paid to the various suppliers. BUILDING DEPARTMENT ( SUB -STANDARD DIVISION) The following actions were taken in connection with the Sub -Standard properties listed below: Property at 309 Harris Street, owned by Mr. Morris: Request for continuation of case granted. Continued until November 6, 1961. Property located at 122 Paris St.: Mr. Grabarz was directed to talk to owner concerning this propetty. Property owned by Mr. Chism: Mr. Grabarz reported no action taken to fill in excavation, and was directed to take steps to take care of this matter. Property located at 1219 Grace Street: Owner will demolish this structure. ELECT, . ICAL DEPARTMENT STREET LIGHTS) Following the recommendation of Nicholas Horvath, Electrical Department Superintendent, the following installations were approved: 1 - 4000 lumen light at 516 Sherman Ave. 1,- 4000 lumen light at Summers Ct. and LaSalle Ct. intersection. 1 - 4000 lumen light in the 1400-1500 Block North Olive Street. TRAFFIC ENGINEER ( TRAFFIC SIGNS) Following the recommendation of Clem Hazinski, Traffic Engineer, the following installations were approved:; Stop Signs installed on Vine Street, both sides, at 20th Street. SPECIAL POLICE BOND Special Police Bond for Eugene Robert Benninghoff was approved and ordered placed on *4�1.e.. POLICE DEPARTMENT APPLICATION An application for the Police Department from Thomas Phillip Karmolinski was accepted and ordered placed on file. _WEIGHTS AND MEASURES REPORT A report for the month of September from the Department of Weights & Measures was accepted and ordered placed on file. STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT A Street Light Outage Report was accepted and ordered placed on file.
