A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING $40,220.00 FROM ACCOUNT
722.0, MOTOR EQUIPMENT, TO ACCOUNT 726.0, OTHER
EQUIPMENT. ALL ACCOUNTS BEING WITHIN THE SAME
MAJOR CLASSIFICATION OF THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY
SPECIAL DISTRIBUTION BUDGET OF THE MOTOR VEHICLE
HIGHWAY SPECIAL DISTRIBUTION FUND OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, ADMINISTERED THROUGH THE
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS.
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the
adoption of the existing budget, so that it is now necessary to appropriate
more money than was originally appropriated in the budget for the various
functions of City Government to meet such extraordinary conditions, and
WHEREAS, additional funds are needed for Account 726.0, Other Equip-
ment, to enable the Department of Public Works to properly perform its
functions; and
WHEREAS, a surplus exists in another account where it is not presently
needed. This surplus is shown more specifically as follows, to -wit:
$40,220.00 in Account 722.0, Motor Equipment
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
South Bend:
SECTION I: That the Account 722.0, Motor Equipment, be reduced by
$40,220.00, and of this $40,220.00 be appropriated and transferred to 726.0,
Other Equipment.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage by the Common Council and its approval by the Mayor.

RE: Resolution Transferring $40,220
Within the Motor Vehicle Highway
Special Distribution Fund
Dear Councilmen:
The attached resolution requests a transfer of $40,220 from
Account 722, Motor Equipment, to Account 226, Other Equipment,
all accounts being within the Motor Vehicle Highway Special Distri-
bution budget of the Street Department. This transfer will enable
the Street Department to pursue the purchase of snow removal equip-
ment, primarily plows and associated hydraulic systems.
