The Board of Public Works, at its meeting held on February 14, 2017, approved the
Temporary Occupancy Permit for the extended closure of Sycamore Street between LaSalle Avenue
and Colfax Avenue. This permit will be valid from February 15 to June 30, 2017.

Dear Board Members,
East Bank South Bend Development LLC would like to request the closure of Sycamore street
(Between LaSalle Ave and Colfax Ave) while the construction of East Bank Flats is in progress.
Ideally the road would be closed off from 7:00am to 4:00pm each day. There will be about a 2
week period when we have a crane and are setting the modular boxes that it will need to be
closed at night as well. We think this would be best to help to provide a safe environment for
our contractors and the general public during the construction process. Completion of the project
is expected to be in June of 2017, weather permitting.

DATE: January 27, 2017
Please find a letter included from Velvet Canada of Matthews, LLC requesting
extended closure of Sycamore Street (Between LaSalle Ave and Colfax Ave) during the
construction of East Bank Flats. The contractor(s) requests occupancy of Sycamore
Street from February 15, 2017 through completion of the project in June 2017. The
road will remain open 4p. until 7 a. except for 2 weeks for a crane placement to offload
supplies.
