A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, November 23,
1959 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the previous regular
meeting were read and approved.
Application for the Fire Department are now examined and placed on file for Donald
Niezgodski, Ernest Rozanski, Robert Rogers, Thomas Quirk, and Thomas Hansen.
Applications for the Police Department are approved for Clement Degucz and Donald
Bonek.
Comes now Police Chief Dutrieux and submits to the Board the resignations of Melvin
J. Voelkel and Andrew F. Orban of the South Bend Police Department to become effective
as of December 16, 1959. Approved and effective as of said date.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was called ad-
journed at 10:25 AM.

A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, November 30,
1959, at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the previous regular
meeting were read and approved.
A petition is hereby submitted to the Board from Eugenia Gapczynski, 2817 Prast Blvd.
and several others asking for the improvement of the 2800 block of Prast Blvd. Petition
referred to the City Electrical Department for investigation and recommendation.
A petition is hereby submitted to the Board from Mr. Glen Herreman, 2510 Lathrop St.
and several others asking for the improvement by street lighting of West Lathrop St.
from the City Limits. 'Petition referred to the City Electrical Department for investi
gation and recommendation.
The monthly report for October, 1959 of the South Bend Police Department is hereby
accepted and placed on file.
There being no further business to come before the Board, it was so announced and the
meeting was called adjourned at 10:25 A.M.
