A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, November 2, 1959
at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the previous regular meeting
were read and approved.
Applications for the Police Auxiliary School Patrol were examined and placed on file
for Virginia Sniadecki.
Applications for the Police Department were examined and placed on file for Thomas
Dickens.
Special police applications approved for Stanley Stuglik.
Permission is hereby granted to the Civil Defense Department to send Cpl. Robert
Miller to attend the conference of the International Association of the Civil Defense
Public Information Officers which will be held at OCDM headquarters, Battle Creek,
Michigan on November 5 and 6, 1959.
A petition is hereby presented to the Board from Mrs. Benjamin Bowman, 2628 South
Main Street and several others asking for better lighting on Fairview and Main St.,
west of Michigan Street. Petition referred to the City Electrical Department for
investigation and recommendation.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was called ad-
journed at 1000 AM-1,
