October 26, 1959
A regular meeting of the Board of -,Public Safety was held on Monday, Obtober 26,
1959 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the previous regular
meeting were read and approved. _
The monthly report of the South Bend, Police Department for September, 1959 is
hereby accepted and placed on file.
Comes now Irving J. Grams, Det. Sgt., and requests permission 'for his pension to
take effect the 28th day of November, 1959 which will complete 20 years of service
with the South Bend Police Department on the 24th day of November, 1959. Pension
approved.
Applications for the Police Department are hereby examined and placed on file for
Ernest Reed and Ernest Milbourn.
The bids for the Fire Department sedan are hereby rejected and re -advertising for
same will take place.
Nick Horvath, Electrical Department superintendent, recommends installation of the
following street lights:
4000 lumen light at 124 South Jacob Street
4000 lumen light at 1109 North Fremont Street
2500 lumen light at 841 - 32nd Street
There being no further business to come before the Board the meeting was called ad-
journed at 10:30 A.M.
