A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Tuesday, October 13,
1959 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the previous -regular
meeting were read and approved.
Applications for the Fire Department are examined and placed on file for Stanley
Lorenc.
Applications for the Police Auxiliary School -Patrol are examined and placed on file
for Dorothy Ingham.
A petition is hereby received from Mrs James H. Voss, 1109 N. Fremont Street and
several others asking for the improvement of the northwest corner of the alley north
of L. W. W. on Fremont Street. Petition referred to the City Electrical Department
for study and investigation.
Nicholas,Horvath, Electrical Department Superintendent, recommends installation of
street lights as follows:
4000 lumen light at rear cross alley of 2211 S:'Michigan (First Bank & Trust)
4000 lumen light at corner of Pennsylvania and Nitzel Court
Increase from 2500 lumento 4000 lumen light at 1023 Wilber
Increase from 2500 lumen to 4000 lumen light at 909 Wilber
Increase from 4000 lumen to 6000 lumen light at Wilber and Vassar
Increase from 4000 lumen to 6000 lumen light at California and Wilber
There being no further business to come before the Board, it was nnounced and
the meeting was called adjourned at 10:30 A.M.
