A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Tuesday, -September 8,
1959 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. 'Minutes of the previous regular
meeting were read and approved.
Applications for the Police Auxiliary School Patrol are hereby examined and; laced
on file for Ann Mahoney.
Application of Officer Robert Watt for retirement from the Police Department to
become effective the lst day of September, 1959 is hereby approvedbythe Board,
Application for Police Department forJosephMarkovich is hereby approved and
placed on file for said Markovich.
Street Light outage report is hereby approved and placed on file.
It is hereby the recommendation of the Board that the City Electrical Department
be directed to install 4000 lumen street lights on Whitman Court and Keasey Streets
and at 930 S. 36th Street.
A petition for a street light in the 500 block of 25th Street is hereby submitted
to the Board and is now referred to the City Electrical Department for investigation
and recommendation.
Comes now Police Chief J. Charles Dutrieux and request permission from the Board
to attend the International Chief's Convention in New York City, September 27 to
October 1, 1959. Permission granted.
There being no further business to come before theBoard, it was so announced and
the meeting was adjourned at 10:30 A.M.
