A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, August 10, 1959
at10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the previous regular meeting were
read and approved. Claims in the total amount of $1,862.38 were approved and ordered
paid to the following suppliers:

Applications for the Police Auxiliary School
Patrol are hereby accepted
and placed on
file for Frances Roe and Ramona
Wilbur.
Applications for the police Department are hereby placed on file for Joseph Lyczynski.
Applications for the Fire Department are hereby placed on file for Joseph Lyczynski.
The monthly reports for July, 1959 of the Weights & Measures Department and the Police
Department are hereby accepted and placed on file.
A petition is hereby received from Thomas Romanowski, 718 Falson Street and several
others asking for the improvement of the 700 block of Ford Street from Dunham to Fal-
con by the construction of street lighting. Petition referred to the City Electrical
Department for investigation and recommendation.
Nick Horvath, Supt. of the Electrical Department, recommends the installation ;of a
4000 lumen light at the intersection of Fellows and Ireland.
Comes now Police Chief Dutrieux and recommends that Officer Edmund F. Klimczak be
promoted to the rank of Sgt. and report to Lt. Edward Hanyzewski for assignment and
further that Officer Robert P. Lips be promoted to the rank of Sgt. and report to
Inspector for assignment.
There being no further business to come before the Board, it was so announced and the
meeting was called adjourned at 10:30 A.M.
