Vascil. The monthly reports of the Police Department and the Weights & Measures Department are hereby accepted and placed on file in this office. Permission is hereby granted to Bert S. Cichowicz, City Sealer, to attend the National Weights & Measures Conference in Washington, D. C., June 8 thru June 12th, 1959. Special Police application is hereby approved for Mr. Jack Block, 302 East Dubail Street from employment from June 16, 1959 through July 24, 1959 in the Detective Bureau of the South Bend Police Department. Permission granted to Captain Rzepka and Lt. Hosinski to attend a one -day Governor's Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana on June 159 1959. A petition is submitted to the Board from John A. Binder, 118. E. Farneman and several others asking for the installation of a street light in the middle of the 100 block of E. Farneman. Petition is now referred to the City Electrical Department for study and recommendation. Nicholas Horvath, Superintendent of the Electrical Department, recommends the Installa- tion of the following street lights: (4000 lumen) 301 South Dundee Street, 304 S. Iowa Street, Woodmount and Briar Way, Woodmount and Malvern Way, Brian Way (East), Malvern Way (East), 900 E. Dognoyer, and relocate 1-1000 lumen U.G. street lamp at 1014 E. Donald to 1021 E. Donald to a 4000 lumen There being no other business to come before the Board,it was so announced and the meeting was adjourned at 10:45 A.M.
