Nick Horvath, Supt. of the Electrical Department., recommends the installation of
the following 4000 lumen street lights:
Elmer and Pershing Streets
Elmer and Bergan Streets
2613'West Huron Street
Permission is hereby granted to Officer Voss to attend armed services at Bunker Hill
Air Force Base, SAC, in Peru, Indiana on May 17 through May 31st, 1959.
There. being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was called ad-
journed at 10:30 A.M..

A special ':meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Friday, May 15, 1959
at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the previous meeting were read.
The following business was transacted at this meeting:
Comes now acting Chief of "Police, Richard E. Burkhart, and informs the Board that
it is the recommendation of the Chief of Police that Officer John Niezgodski be
promoted to the rank of Sergeant as of May 16, 1959, and that Sergeant Louis Hor-
vath.be demoted to the rank of Patrolman as of May 16, 1959. -
The Board hereby accepts and approves abovementioned recommendation and will be-
come -effective as of the 16th day of May, 1959.
There being no other business to come before the Board, the meeting was called ad-
journed at 10:20 A.M.
