A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, March 16, 1959
at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the previous regular meeting

The Clerk of the Board is directed to advertise for a 1-ton truck for the
City
Electrical Inspection Department.
Applications for the Police Auxiliary School Patrol are hereby accepted and placed
on file.
Applications for the Fire Department are hereby accepted and placed on file in the
office of theBoard.

The time now being after 10:00 A.M., it was so announced and the bids for the Fire
Department were opened and read aloud. Proofs of publication in the South Bend
Tribune with an affidavit signed:by Robert DeLong and proofs of publication inthe
Record with an affidavit signed by W. DeCanio were submitted to the Board and found
sufficient. Bids received read as follows:

South Bend, Indiana check in the amount of $500.00 accompanied
the bid.
