was held on Monday,
January 26,
1959 at 10:00 A.M. All members
were present. Minutes of the previous

accepted and
placed on file.
Applications for the Fire Department
were accepted and placed on

James Cauley.
Captain James Trevey of the Civil Defense Department hereby submits to the Board
a letter from the U. S. C. D. Council wherein they have appointed Capt. Trevey
as a representative from the membership of the U. S. C. D. Council to meet as
a member of the 0. C. D.-M. Police Services Advisory Committee in Washington,
D.C. on the 17th and 18th days of February, 1959. Captain Trevey now requests
permission to attend this meeting and informs the Board that the department will
be reimbursed by the.Council for the expenses incurred on this trip. Permission
granted and the Board now congratulates Capt. Trevey upon being chosen for this
honor.
The bids for the Police Department sedans are hereby awarded to the Freeman -
Spicer Company as follows:
Freeman Spicer Company A non -collusion affidavit and a certified
520 S. Lafayette Street - check in the amount of $440.00 accom-
South Bend, Indiana panied the bid.
Three (3) New 1959 VW49 V-8 Engine Studebaker
Laik 4-door sedans
Total net price for 3 units
$ 4395.22
There being no further business to come before the Board, it was so announced
and the meeting was adjourned at 10:40 A.M.
