A regular meeting of the Board of Works was held on Monday, January 12,-1959
at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the previous regular meet-
ing were read and approved. Claims in the total amount'of $29984.06 were approv-

Police Chief Dutrieux appears now
and recommends to the Board the following
pro-
motions:
That Officers Hobert
Miller,
Donald Betz, and Frank Vellner
be promoted to the rank of Corporal.
Than Lieut. Matthew Zarembka be promoted to the rank of Cap-
tain. a
Above promotions as recommended by the Police Chief are hereby approved and will
become effective as of the 16th day of January, 1958.
A special police applications and bond is hereby approved by the Board this 12th
day of January, 1959.
Bert Cichowicz, City Sealer, hereby submits to theBoard his monthly report of UP -
Weights & Measures Department for the month of December, 1958. Accepted and placed
on file in the office of the Hoard.
Applications for the Police Department are hereby accepted and placed on file for
Morris Green and applications for the Police Auxiliary School Patrol are placed
on file For Ann Young.
There being no further business,to come before theBoard at this tie, the meeting
was adjourned at 10:45 A.M //
