A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works & Safety was held on Monday, Sep-
tember 8, 1958 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the previous
regular meeting were read and approved. Claims in the total amount of $2,1815.95
were approved and ordered paid to the following suppliers:

Comes now Alex Andrzejewski
and informs the Board that the Indiana
Firemen's
Association having been invited by the
local Firemen's Association
Unit to have
their bowling tournament in
South Bend
on May 16 and 17 and/or May
23 and 241,
1958. Permission granted by the Board
for said Local Unit to be the Host to said
Bowling Tournament.
Chief Andrzejewski submits proposed new Uniform for the Fire Department. The Board
examined same and now commends the Chief for the proposed change and approves said
change.
Permission is granted to the Electrical Department to move a street lamp at 2316
South Miami Street.
There being no further business to come before the Board, it was so announced and
the meeting was adjourned at 10:29 A.M.
