HomeMy WebLinkAbout09/02/58 Board of Public Works MinutesThe Board now approves the recommendation of Nicholas Horvath, Sup. of the Elec- trical Department, to install the following street lights: 4000 lumen street lights at: Benton and Milton Streets 725 South Lake Street 818 South Lake Street Sample and Lake Streets 2500 lumen lights at: At same in locations Mid block on Dunham St., between Lake and Falcon St. 3309 W. Dunham Street Increase 4000 lumen light to 6000 lumen at Tuxedo and Colfax St. Discontinue 2500 lumen light on Ironwood bridge. There being.no further business to come before the Board, it was so announced and the imidting for the Board was hereby adjourned at 10:35 A.M. Chairman Attest: `Anthy J. This report as submitted to the Board by Chief Dutrieux is for the month of August, 1958. Permission is hereby granted to the Fire Chief to attend the International Fire Chief's Conference in Los Angelas, California on September 11 thru September 270 1958 and Ass't. Chief Andert is appointed as Acting Chief in charge of the Fire Department during this time. Applications for the Police Auxiliary School Patrol were examined and placed on file for Marilyn Jane Howell. The Board's original order on June 4, 1958 to the,Electrical Department to install ten (10) 4000 lumen lights on LaPorte Avenue between Washingtonand Lincolnway West is hereby cancelled, as of this date, Following is an agreement as to re -lighting said Street. Relighting LaPorte Avenue from Washington to Wilbur Street and Wilbur Street from LaPorte Avenue to Lincolnway West. Remove 2 - 1000 lumen lamps Remove 10 - 4000 lumen lamps Install 22 - 6000 lumen lights. Nick Horvath, Supt. of the Electrical Department, recommends the installationof the following streetlights: (4000 lumen) 3815 Nall Ct. Nall and Inwood Drive 3900 Nall Court Denslow and Sampson Drive Inwood Drive and Sampson Drive Ridgedale and Sampson Drive Also, relighting of Eddy Street from Jefferson Blvd. to Edison Road, between Jefferson Boulevard and alley north of South Bend Avenue: Remove 15 - 6000 lumen lamps Remove 6 - 4000 lumenlamps Install 30 - 1000 lumen lamps From alley north of South Bend Avenue to Edison Road: Remove 5 - 4000 lumen lamps Install 11 - 6000 lumen lamps There being.no further business to come before the Board, at 10:34 A.M.
