A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, August 40
1958 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the previous regular
meeting were read,and approved. Claims in the total amount of $7,951.85 were
approved and ordered paid to the following suppliers:

The Board hereby directed the Police Department to submit tothenext regular
meeting a report in regards to the amount of work performed at the Police Pistol
Range by a one Perry Knight and Harold Craven, as well as the value'of-the use
of their equipment.
The Clerk of the Board is directed to advertise for a Generator Set (Air Cooled)
10 K. W. to be installed at Central Headquarters Building, 212 E. Wayne Street.
Bids will be received for this equipment on the 18th day of August, 1958.
Applications for the Fire Department are examined and placed on file from Robert
Relos.
Applications for the Police Department are examined and placed on file for Jerry
Lemler, Lawrence Early, and Wilmer Killingsworth.
A petition is hereby received from Mrs. Lucian Szymanski, 810 S. Lake Street and
several others asking for the improvement of S. Lake Street from Ford Street to
Sample Street by the construction of additional street lighting facilities. The
petition is now referred to the City Electrical Department for investigation and
recommendation.
There- being no further business to come before the Board, the Ming was adjourn-
ed at 10:45 A.M.
