A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, July 21,
1958 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the previous regu-
lar meeting were read and approved. Claims in the total amount of $4,638.75
were approved and ordered paid to the following suppliers:

Applications for the Police Department were approved for Charles Robison and
placed on file.
Applications for the Fire Department were examined and placed on file for
Charles Robison.
Special police bonds are now approved and placed on file for Harry T. Heiermann.
A petition is hereby received from ,Mr. W. Wymme and several others asking for
a street light to be placed in the alley running from Iroquois Avenue to Parko-
vash Avenue and lying north of North Shore Drive approximately between the two
streets. Petition referred to the City Electrial Department.
Roger DeClercq, ASs't. Supt. of the Electrical D(partment, recommends installa-
tion of the following street lights:
6000 lumen street lights at South Bend Avenue and Edison Road
4000 lumen street lights at Talbot and South Bend Avenue
4000 lumen street light at the alley on the west side of 700
block of 24th Street, in front of 725 S. 24th Street.
Change seven (7) 1000 lumen and three (3) 2500 lumen under-
ground lights to 4000 lumen lights on
There being no further business to come before the Board of Public Safety, the
meeting was adjourned at 10:45 A.M.
