A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, July 149 1958
at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the previous regular meeting
were read and approved. Claims in the total amount of $$7,731.55 were approved

Lt. Zarembka requests permission to enter a five man team in the Regional Piston
Championship 10atches, to be held at Rockford, Illinois on July 26 and 27. Per-
mistion granted.
Roger DeClercq, Asst. Superintendent of the Electrical Department, hereby recommends
the installation of two (2) 4000 lumen lights in the 800 block of West North Shore
Drive. Board approves the recommendation.
The Board now approves the request of Fire Chief and Andert to attend the Firemen's
Association Conference in Gary, Indiana on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 15 and 16,
1958.
The monthly disability pension of $231.36 or 55 per cent of a fully paid first class
firemen's salary to Albert Lind is now approved and will become effective on the
lst day of August, 1958. This action was governed solely by the recommendation of
Dr. R. W. Spenner, medical examiner, for the Firemen's Pension Board.
There being no further business to come before theBoard, the meetirj was adjourned
