A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, March 24,
1958 at 10:00 A.M. (CST). All members were presebt. Minutes of the previous
regular meeting were read and approved. Claims in the total amount of$10,030.49

Applications for the South Bend Fire Department were examined and placed on
file for Roland Dickinson, Daniel Mincinski, Robert Jensen, and Eugene Kaczysnki.
Applications for the South Bend Police Department were examined and placed on
file for Wayne Smith, Bruce Stickley, Eugene Kaczynski, and Robert Smith.
Applications for the South Bend Police Auxiliary School Patrol were examined and
placed on file for Elizabeth Jane Henry -Quinn and Helen Tschida.
Permission is hereby granted to the F. 0. P. to conduct their annual "Police Show"
during the month of July, 1958.
Nick Horvath recommends the installation of 4000 lumen street lights at 715 E.
Wayne, 1521 Kemble Avenue, and at the alley of 621 Western Avenue.
Chief Dutrieux submits to the Board his monthly report of the Police Department
for February, 1958. Aceepted and placed on file.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meet' g was adjourned
at 10:45 A. M.
