POLICE DEPARTMENT
Harley Davidson Sales A non -collusion affidavit and a bidder's
526 Western Avenue bond in the amount of 10% of the bid
South Bend, Indiana accompanied the bid.
Three (3) Police Servi-car motorcycles, 45 cubic
inch, Model GA
Total net price---------$4148.20
After examination of the bids and bids having met requirements as set out
in specifications, the Board now awards the bids to the Freeman Spicer Company
and Harley Davidson Sales for the Police Department equipment.
There being no further business to come before this Board, the meeting was
adjourned at 10:55 A.M. (CST).

A regular meeting the of the hoard of Public Safety was held on Monday, Feb-
ruary 3, 1958 at 10:00 A.M. (CST). All members were present. Minutes of the
previous meeting were read and approved. Claims in the total amount of $3937.95

The hearing scheduled for today with reference to a request{f or.a:Speoial
Police Officer by Robert Gammage is hereby continues for 1 week. Hearing
to be held on Monday, February 10, 1958.
The bids for the servi-cycle are all rejected and notice to bidders will be
re -advertised. Bids to be taken again on the 17th day of February, 1958.
Police Department applications were accepted and placed on file for James
Stroud.
Fire Department applications were accepted and placed on file for Paul Harvey.
The Clerk of the Board is hereby directed to advertise for bids for re -wiring
at the Central Fire Station, vehicles for the Electrical Department, and for
a servi-cycle for the Parking Meter Department. Publications to appeared in
the South Bend Tribune and The Reocrd on the 7th and 14th days of February,1958
and the bids will be received until 10:00 A.M. on the 17th day of February,1958.
The:, -Batt. Chief Lederer and Steve Horvath now requests permission to attend the
Fifty Fire Administrators Seminar at Purdue University in Lafayette, Indiana on
February 7, 1958. Permission granted.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the m eting was adjourn-
