HomeMy WebLinkAbout11/25/57 Board of Public Works MinutesU. 1 1 F_� The Electrica; Department recommends the installation of the following street lights: 1239 California Avenue 3104 Voll Lane 3104 Bentley Street, corner of Manchester and Bentley 3038 Boynton Avenue , north side of Boynton between Lots 510 and 511, west of Manchester Drive. The Board now approved the appointment of Michael Keszei to the Fire Department of the City of South Bend, Indiana. Said applicant having passed all required written examination and also having passed necessary physieal examinations by both the City Doctor and the Pension Board Doctor, his appointment shall become effective as of November 18, 1957. There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was ad - A regular meeting'of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, November 25, 1957 at 10:00 A.M. (CST). All members were present. Minutes of the pre- vious regular meeting were read and approved. Applications for special police permits were approved for William P. Racz and Raymond David Baugh. Sgt. J. R. Niezgodski of the South Bend Police Department hereby requests for a demotion from Sgt.-to Patrolman in order to be granted a change of assignment from First Detail to Second Detail. And it is further the recommendation of the Police Chief that Officer Edward Dudzinski be promoted to the,rank of Ser- geant. The Board hereby approves both requests and will become effective as of the 1st day of December, 1957. Nick Horvath, Electrical Superintendent, recommends the installation of a 4000 lumen light at the first alley intersection north of South Bend Avenue and Eddy Street. Board approves recommendation. Hartman Builders, Inc. hereby submits a light petition asking for the installa- tion of street lighting on Ryer Street from Lincoln Way West, south to the end'. of street consisting.of 200 and 100 block in South Bend, Indiana. Petition is now referred to the City Electrical Department for further investigation and recommendation.
