George Robert Baldwin.
The October monthly report of the Weights and Measures Department as submitted
to the Board by Bert S. Cichowicz is accepted and placed on file.
Chief Dutrieux appeared before the Board, and requested permission to send
Police Sgt. Rene Devolder to attend National Conference of Mental Health in
Atlantic City, New Jersey on November 18 through 21, 1957. Permission granted.
The Board hereby approves the appointment of Roger Cornelis to the Fire Depart-
ment of the City of South Bend, Indiana. Said applicant having passed all re-
quired written examinations and also having passed necessary physical examina-
tions by both the City Doctor and the Pension Board Doctor, his appointment shall
become effective as of November 16, 1957.
There being no further business to come before the Boards to meeting was ad-
journed at 10:45 A.M. (CST).

The Electricaj Department recommends the installation of the following street
lights:

3104 Voll Lane
3104 Bentley Street, corner of Manchester and Bentley
3038 Boynton Avenue , north side of Boynton between Lots
510 and 511, west of Manchester Drive.
The Board now approved the appointment of Michael Keszei to the Fire Department
of the City of South Bend, Indiana. Said applicant having passed all required
