October 31, 1957
A special meeting of the Board of PublicSafety was held on Thursday, October
31, 1957 at 10:00 A.M. (CST). All members were present.
Fire Chief Andrzejewski appeared before the Board at this time and requested
permission to send Batt. Chief Lederrer, Ass't. Chief Doran, and Fire Chief
to attend a Seminar at Purdue University in Lafayette, Indiana on the 4th day
of November, 1957. Permission granted.
The hereby approves the appointment of Jack Andrzejewski, Stanley J. Jackowiak,
Jr., Joseph Herczeq, Frank L. Kaniewski, and Edward Szymkowiak to the Fire De-
partment of the City of South Bend, Indiana. Said applicants having passed all
required written examinations and also having passed necessary physical exami-
nations by both the City Doctor and the Pension Board Doctor, their appointment
shall become effective as of November 19 1957.
There being.no other business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned
at 10:25 A.M. (CST).

4, 1957 at 10:00 A.M. (CST). All members were present. Minutes of the previous
regular meeting were read and approved. Claims in the total amount of $11,069.26

The Board hereby approves the appointment of Gerald McGinn, Stanley Przestwor,
and Hilary Staszewski to the Fire Departmentof the City of ;youth Bend, Indiana.
Said applicants having passed all required written examination and also having
passed necessary physical examinations by both the City Doctor and the Pension
Board Doctor, their appointment shall become effective as of November 5, 1957.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was ad-
journed at 10:15 A.M. (CST).
