A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was heldon Monday, October 21,
1957 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. .Minutes of the previous regular
meeting were read and approved. Claims in the total amount of $4,913.83 were,
approvedand ordered paid to the following suppliers:

Applications for the Fire Department were approved and placed on file for Fred
Baker, Carl Granning, and Matthew Strantz.
Applications for the Police Department were approved and placed on file for
James Robison.
The monthly report for Septermber, 1957 of the Police Department.were approved
and placed on file for the Police Department.
Fire Chief Andrzejewski requests permission on behalf of the Muscular Distrophy
organization to place cans for collections in the various fire Stations. Per-
mission granted.
Police Chief Dutrieux now requests permission to send Sgt. Paffenbach and Sgt
Slaby to Seminar Purdue University, Lafayette, Indiana on October 30 and 31,,
1957. Also to send Capt. Trevey, Captain Orban, and Lt. Bergan to attend F.B.I.
National Academy in Service Training session in Washington D. C. on November 4
through November 8, 1957. Permission granted on both requests.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned
at 10:35 A.M.
