All members were -present. ;Minutes of the previous regular meeting were read and approved. Claims in the total amount of $23,685.19 were approved and ordered paid to the following suppliers: J. Special police application'permit is hereby approved for Dale Whittaker. Application for the Police Department for Thomas John Quirk is examined and placed on files - Officer Richard Stickley submits application for retirement from the Police De- partment of the City of South Bend. Application approved and retirement shall become effective the 1st day of September, 1957. Officer D. P. Foy requests permission for a leave of absence to attend summer camp with the U. S. Marine Corp. Reserve from August 3, 1957 through August 189 1957. Permission granted. There being no further business to come before the. Board, the meeting was adjourned at 10:30 A.M. (DST).
