HomeMy WebLinkAbout04/01/57 Board of Public Works Minutes1 [1 APRIL 1, 1957 A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, April 1, 1957 at 10:00 A.M. (CST). All members were present. Minutes of the previous regular meeting were read and approved. Salary claims in the total amount of $96,264.35 were approved. Claims in the total amount of $5903.19 were approved and ordered paid to the following suppliers: American Dist. The Board hereby approves the appointment of Michael Medich to the Fire Department cf the City.cf South Bend, Indiana. Said applicant having passed all necessary examina- tions and also having passed physical examinations by both the City Doctor and Pension Doctor, his appointment shall become effective on the 1st day of April, 1957. The Board now awards the bid for the cable for the Electrical Department to the follow- ing company: GRAY13AR ELECTRIC COMPANY, INC. Hammond, Indiana A non -collusion affidavit and a certi- fied check in the amount of $133.00 accompanied the bid. #16-10 Conductor color coded solid cable,of this 6 conductor shall be #16 A.W.G. solid straight and 2 pair shall be #18 A.W.G. solid twisted. The cable shall be furnished in lengths of 22639 2100, 25769 and 11300 feet. (Total length - 8239) Total bid price----------------------------------$3,140.05 There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 10:45 A.M.
