Upon recommendation of the Electrical Superintendent, Nick Horvath, the Board hereby
approves the installation of 4000 lumen street lights at the following locations:
Intersection of Pulaski and Edward Streets
1900 block South Jackson Street
700 Block East Tasher Street
700 Block North Niles Avenue
800 Block North Niles Avenue
There being no further business to come before the Board, the me ing was adjourned
at 10: 35 A.M. (CST).

A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, March 25, 1957 at
10:00 A.M. (CST). All members were present. Minutes of the previous regular meeting
were read and approved. Claims in the total amount of $10,103.36 were approved and

Applications for the Fire Department
were examined and placed 6n file for
Stanley Thomas
Przestwor, Jr.
Applications for the Police Auxiliary School Patrol were examined and approved for Kath-
leen Lorraine Keller.
An Officer's report from Sgt. Jankowski with reference to the Hydraulic bildge and also
aMseport from Officer Bella were examined and placed on file for reference.
A special policemen's application is hereby approved for John Luther Delancy, Sr.
Police Chief Dutrieux appeared before the Board to request permission for Officer
Wiskotoni to be granted a two week's leave of absence to attend army training from
March 31, 1957 through April 16, 1957. Permission granted.
The February, 1957 monthly report of the Police Department is hereby accepted and
placed on file.
The time now being after 10:00 A.M. (CST) it was so announced and the bids for the
Electrical Department were opened. Proofs of publication in the South Bend Tribune
with an affidavit signed by C. G. Livengood and in the Repord with an affidavit signed
by W.DeCanio were submitted to the Board for examination, and found sufficient. The
bids received read as follows:

The cable to be furnished in lengths of22631, 21002 2576
and 1300 feet. (Total length - 8239 feet)

and 1,300 feet. (Total length - 8239 feet)

The bids will be taken under consideration and contract will be awarded at the next
regular meeting on April 12 1957.
There being no further business -to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned
