A special meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Friday, March 19 1957
at 2:00 P.M. (CST) at which time the three (3) lowest and best bids for each of the
following: (Structural, Plumbing and Heating, and Electrical work) were negotiated
downward by eliminating certain specified items, all.in order to arrive at a total.
base bid within the budgetary allotment appropriated for the building of Fire Station
No. 14.
The following negotiated prices were arrived at:

TOTAL NEGOTIATED BID PRICE ---------------- $60,083.75
Since the total negotiated price was down to $60,083.759 the Board decided
that certain important items could be re -instated at a future date. The final
negotiated price will appear in the contracts to be signed on March 11, 1957
at the regular Board of Safety meeting.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was
adjourned at 2'..55 P.M. (CST).
