RESOLUTION NO. 736 -79
A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, COMMENDING
PETER J. NEMETH, FOR HIS FOUR YEARS OF
SERVICE AS MAYOR OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND.
WHEREAS, Peter J. Nemeth has been the Mayor of the City
of South Bend since 1975; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Nemeth has served with distinction as
Mayor of the City in revitalizing the downtown, improving
city services and leading the citizenry effectively;
WHEREAS, Mayor Nemeth has given eight years of hard
work as a dedicated public servant to the citizenry.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of
the City of South Bend, Indiana:
SECTION I. That the citizens of South Bend, through
their Common Council, commend and congratulate Peter J.
Nemeth for his four years of service as Mayor of the City of
South Bend.
SECTION II. That the Common Council wish Mayor "Pete"
Nemeth continued sucess and a bright and successful future as
he reenters the practice of law and enters the business world.
SECTION III. That this Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption by the Common Council
and approval by the Mayor.
