November 30, 1964
A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday,
November 30, 1964 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes
of the last regular meeting were read and approved. Vouchers were
approved and ordered paid to the various suppliers.
POLICE DEPARTMENT, RETIPM ENT f ZAREMBKA )
Officer Zarembka having this date tendered his resignation from the
South Bend Police Department and having notified the Police Pension
Board that he is applying for pension, said resignation is hereby
accepted, effective December 11, 1964.
PQQ Lo DEPARTMENT: APPOINTMENT f M. C. BORKOWSKI_I
Michael Clement Borkowski, having made application for appointment to
the South Bend Police Department and said application having been
examined by the Board and the Board having determined that said
Michael Clement Borkowski meets all requirements for appointment and
a vacancy .existing in said Police Department, said Michael Clement
Borkowski is hereby appointed to the Department effective December
1, 1964.
SPECIAL POLICE CC MISSIONS
The following Special Police Commissions were approved pending receipt
of Bonds:
Molly Osmanski Pinkerton Detective Agency
Danny J. Bloss - Commercial Services, Inc.
Leroy R. &eenawalt - Commercial Services, Inc..
POLICE DEPARTMENT MONTHLY REPORT
A monthly report for the month of October, 1964 from the Police Department
was accepted and ordered placed on file.
POLICE DEPARTMENT: SPECIAL POLICE BOND
A Special Police Bond for Dorothy Steele, employed by Wyman's was
approved and ordered placed on file.
STREET LIGHT PETITIONS: ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT
Eugene Radecki, City Electrical Department Superintendent, was directed
by the Board to hold up street light petitions until after January 1,
1964.
STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS
Street Light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placed on file.
WEIGHTS & MEASURES MONTHLY REPORT'
A Report for the month of October, 1964 from the Department of Weights
& Measures,was accepted and ordered placed on file.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting
was adjourned at 11:25 A.M.
