A special meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday,
August 10, 1964 at 9:00 A.M. All members were present. Also present
were Fire Chief McHenry, Fireman John C. Cunningham and his attorney,
J. W. Oberfell.
This meeting was held for the purpose of reviewing upon a complaint
of the Fire Chief against John C. Cunningham.
FINDING IN THE MATTER OF COMPLAINT CHARGEDAGAINST FIREMAN aOHN C
CUNNINGHAM, FOR VIOLATION OF RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE FIRE
DEPARTMENT
The Board of Public Safety having heretofore had a public hearing upon
a complaint lodged with the Board by the Fire Chief and evidence having
been introduced by the complainant and by the subject and the Board
having considered all of the evidence including medical evidence, the
Board finds the subject is unfit for duty on the Fire Department and
the Board further finds that the subject is a proper person for pension
under the Pension Plan of the Fire Department.
Therefore, the Board orders that the subject be referred to the Pension
Board of the Fire Department for determination by said Pension Board
as to whether Fireman Cunningham shall be pensioned by reason of physical
disability and report to this Board.
And it is fur her ordered that all.of the records and exhibits filed
in this hearing shall be made available to said Pension Board for its
use in making its determination.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting
was adjourned at 9:20 A.M.
