A special meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, July
6, 1964 at 9:20 A.M. Messrs. Robert J. DuComb and James A. Bickel
were present. Also present was Fire Chief Cecil C. McHenry, -also present
Baas Assistant Fire Chief Busfield and Thomas J. Quirk, Jr., member of
the Fire Department.
The special meeting was called for the following purpose:

CHARGED AGAINST THCflW J QUIRK, JR.
Pursuant to notice issued to Thomas J. Quirk, Jr-., which was served on
June 22, 1964, the Board proceeded to have a hearing as to charges -
filed against Mr. Quirk by Fire Chief McHenry.
Mr. Quirk informed the Board that he did not have counsel nor did he
desire any to be present.
The detailed report of Assistant Fire Chief Busfield was read to Mr.
Quirk.
The Board, after hearing all who wished to be heard, took the case
under,advisement, and will render a decision on Monday, July 13, 1964
at 9:30 A.M.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time,
the meeting was adjourned at 9:45 A.M.
