A special, meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, June
1, 1964 at 2:15.P.M. in the Conference Room, City Hall. All members were
present. Also present were Fire Chief Cecil C. McHenry, Battalion Chief
Harold S2ski and Captain Ray Arendt. Mr. John E. Cunningham was present
in person and also represented by his counsel, Mr. J. W. Oberfell..
The meeting was called to order at 2:15 for the purpose of hearing charges
filed by Fire Chief McHenry against John E. Cunningham,, which charges are
in the following fords and figures. (H.I.)
The Board, having heard statement of Fire Chief McHenry and Captain Arendt
and Battalion Chief Zyski and having heard statements of Mr. John E.
Cunningham and his attorney, now continues this matter until the 15th
day of June, 1964 at 9:00 A.M. for the purpose of securing, if possible,
from Mr. Cunninghamts attorney, a statement from Dr. Ray Firestein who,
according to Mr. Cunningham, is his personal physician and has been for
some time, as to his condition.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting
was adjourned at 3:00 P.M.
