A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on`Monday,
January 69 1964 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of
the last special meeting were read and approved.
SPECIAL POLICE COMMISSIONS
The following Special Police Commissions were approved by the Board
and ordered placed on file:
Elmer John Coil, Special Police for Street Department
Kenneth C. Clawson, Special Police for Electrical Inspection
Lee Herbert Klingebiel, Special Police, Electrical Inspection.
Robert Leo Johnson$. Special Police, Electrical"Inspection
SPECIAL POLICE BONDS
The following Special Police Bonds were submitted for renewal and
approved by the Board and ordered placed on file:
Special Police Bond for Special Police Officer Stanley V.
Grayzck, Torrington Co.
Special Police Bond for Special Police Officer James Shields,
Shanahan & Co.
APPLICATIONS ( POLICE DEPARTMENT)
The following applications for the Police Department were accepted
and ordered placed on file: William Earl Hoyes, Paul Joseph
Churchill.
APPLICATIONS ( FIRE DEPARTMENT)
The following applications for the Fire Department were accepted and
ordered placed on file: Paul Joseph Churchill, John Merland Becker,
Jr.
APPROVAL OF APPOINTMENTS: ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT
The following appointments for the City Electrical Department were
approved by the Board: '

STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS
Street Light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placed on file.
BUILDING DEPARTMENT ( MONTHLY REPORT)
A report for the month of December, 1963 from the Building Department
was accepted and ordered placed on file.
BUILDING DEPARTMENT: SUB -STANDARD DIVISION ( DEMOLITION BID )
Comes now John Grabarz, Sub -Standard Division Supervisor, with reference
to property located at 813 W. Jefferson, owned by Leonard Campanale, which
hearing had been continued.
Advertisements had been placed for demolition of this structure but,
since only one bid was received the case was continued so that the
new Board could decide whether to proceed with demolition.
John Grabarz advised the Board that this property is hazardous and
it was his recommendation that demolition should proceed.
Following the recommendation of Mr. Grabarz, it was the decision of
the Board that the bid of A & J Demolition Co., be awarded and
that demolition should proceed.
The bid is as follows:
A & J Demolition Co. $375.00 with salvage
$390,00 without salvage
DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH REPRESENTATIVE
Mr. Stephen Molnar of the Department of Health, appeared at the
meeting as a representative of the Health Department.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting
was adjourned at 11:30 A.M.
