A special meetipq of the Board of Public Safety was held on Tuesday,
December 31,;;>1163 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Thb
following business was transacted:
RESIGNATION: FIRE DEPARTMENT ( FIRE CHIEF ALEX ANDRZEJEWSKI )
Comes now Alex Andrzejewski, Fire Chief, and a ppeares before the.
Board of Public Safety at a special meeting to submit his resignation
from the South Bend Fire Department which is in words and figures, to -
wit:
December 319 1963
HONORABLE BOARD OF WORKS AND SAFETY
Gentlemen:
I hereby submit my resignation as Fire Chief of the City of
South Bend, Indiana, to be effective 12:00 midnight, December
31, 1963. Pension to go in effect January 1, 1964.

The Board, having examined same and having heretofore received a
communication from the Pension Fund showing said Alex Andrzejewski
to be accepted for pension, the Board now accepts the resignation
of said Alex Andrzejewski in keeping with his request for resignation;
his resignation to be effective Midnight, December 319 1963.
There being no further business to come before the"Board, the meeting
is adjourned at 10:15 A.M.
