A special meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held at 9:30 A.M.
Messrs. Ray S. Andrysiak and Edwin L. Davies were present. The following
business was discussed:
HEARING: CHARGE OF VIOLATION OF RULES AND RESLLATIONS OF THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT ( OFFICER EDWARD J. NAWROCKI)
Hearing Was had to consider violation of Resulations 59 29 15 and 23
of the Rules and Regulations of the Police Deparknent by Officer Edward
J. Nawrocki of the Police Department.
Charges of violations of Regulations 59 29 15 and 23 of the Rules and
Regulations of the Police Department of South Bend were read to Officer'
Nawrocki.
Officer Nawrocki pleaded guilty to the Charges as read.
The Board, after due consideration of the Charges against Officer
Nawrocki, ,and ,having ,taken into consideration his past record finds
that Officer Nawrocki will be suspended for 15 days without pay..
However, he will report to work his regular hours. --and his pay will
be made payable to the Police Pension Fund.
,The suspension shall begin on October 1, 1963 to and including
October 15, 1963.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting
was adjourned at 9:50 A.M.
